Delamination of the floor can be an issue with older caravans. Both Patsy 1 & 2 suffered from it but we were able to get it fixed under warranty – thankfully. Basically, it’s when the layers of ply that make up the floor of the van become separated, creating an effect not unlike walking on a mattress. Ok, maybe thats an exaggeration but you get the idea. Take a look at the link below for a very concise blog of a repair on a 1995 Elddis Golden Crown Signet called Elvis:
Some will know that we went to the Spring Caravan and Camping Show at the N.E.C in February 2013, however I couldn’t be arsed to do a blog on our visit. Thankfully, someone else did (on their visit, not ours, just to be clear!) – a fellow Tweeter, and wrote a great article for Cover4Caravans (@cover4caravans), the link to which you will find below.
The Road Snail (@realroadsnail) – “I never wanted to buy a caravan – but I’m really glad we did. This blog exists to give me somewhere to share my thoughts about the places we’ve been, the things we’ve seen and the things that happen in our occasional life on the road.”
Meals in Fields (@mialefield) – recipes, where to stop, shop and dine. An excellent resource for the traveller. On their blog you will also find an article about the second ever Twittercamp which you can read here.
Caravan Larry (@caravanlarry) – What Phil turns out from the kitchen of his caravan looks simply awesome – check out his website for recipes, tips and foodie finds from around the country. We need to get him to the next Twittercamp!
